What Is MOR-EV?
MOR-EV, or Massachusetts Offers Rebates for Electric Vehicles, is an EV rebate program designed to make electric vehicles more affordable and accessible for Massachusetts residents, businesses and nonprofits. Through this program, the state hopes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and achieve clean transportation goals.
Dealers who've signed up for the MOR-EV program are able to offer EV rebates in-house to their clients -- and Herb Chambers Hyundai of Auburn was one of the first dealerships to sign up! You can get a full breakdown at mor-ev.org, but some important details about the MOR-EV program include:
- $3,500 rebate on eligible new and used EVs1
- $1,500 additional rebate for income-qualifying drivers1
- Rebates are available for new and used EVs at the time of the purchase or lease through a participating dealer. Or, you can take advantage of it after the purchase or lease by applying online within 90 days.
